JIBC is well established in the design, development, and delivery of online learning, with online distance delivery representing 30% of JIBC student contact hours, in addition to blended learning environments that use simulations and technology-enhanced learning. Experiential and applied learning is at the forefront of our design process. The JIBC’s mandate to provide accessible training across the province to a diversity of students, programs and locations, in conjunction with an applied learning model and a commitment to adult learners, have challenged the JIBC to develop innovative learning environments for students that take into account the converging learning contexts of workplace, community, and institution that characterize our students. The Centre for Teaching, Learning, & Innovation (CTLI), adopts a team-based approach to the design, development, and delivery of online learning. This team is composed of instructional designers, web and graphics specialists, a simulations specialist, a video and audio producer, and a faculty and student development coordinator. For all teaching and learning at JIBC, technical support and infrastructure is provided by through the Technical Services Division. This division works closely with CTLI to build and maintain learning solutions. Se tendrá una semana presencial del diplomado, aparecen 2 semanas programadas, pero será a distintos grupos de profesores.
